9 Must Haves for Traveling with Baby

BABY CARRIER

Are you sick of hearing me talk about how much I love to baby-wear yet? It’s given me so much freedom to do things as a new mom. With that said, this was worth the investment to us. My husband also uses it and we agree the comfort and back support this one has is superior to others we have. It helps that this one is aesthetic and easily goes with outfits.

BABY COVER

To my surprise this was not just for feeding! It worked great to keep strangers in the airport from getting close and sharing germs. There is a stiff collar so air can get in and you can check on baby easily. I also wore it when he went to sleep and I wanted to keep the bright lights of the airport from keeping him awake. It has an adjustable neckline that was easy to take on and off.

RIBBED FOOTSIES

This two pack of ribbed pajamas is our favorite (more colors available). For $16 you can catch me grabbing these in every size, saving for another baby, while also not being afraid to throw one in the trash when we have a blowout mid-travels. While I haven’t put them on myself, they are so stretchy and soft and I would if they came in my size.

TOTE BAG

Just ordered this as a “lesson learned” item! When you’re trying to pack baby in with your items, you need all the space you can get! I have a similar size canvas bag but it’s not structured like this one nor is it as kid-friendly when it comes to cleaning. I also like the bottom zip addition, where I can keep emergency clothing. I am always about pieces I can use now with a baby or in the future as a laptop bag or travel bag for myself. No need to sacrifice style or function.

SMALL TOY

This toy in the bottom right came highly recommended by some seasoned moms in my life. Unfortunately I waited until the night before we left to pop batteries in to find it wasn’t working. Luckily upon arriving at the grandparents they had this circular toy, coincidentally by the same brand. It’s been a huge hit with baby boy and was an easy pack for the plane ride home.

THIN WIPE CONTAINER

have a couple containers like this but nothing as thin as these. I like these not only because they take up less space when traveling but on a normal day I can throw them in a oversized belt bag with a diaper and not feel so weighed down by a huge diaper bag.

TEETHING TOY

Baby does not need to be teething to love this! My sister grabbed these from Amazon for Christmas and they have quickly become the best $10 addition to our family. Baby boy loves to stick his hands in his mouth so these have been perfect to keep him from wet hands and sleeves. I love that they are easy to hook to the baby bag for easy access.
